Overview & Training Description
Build your organization’s internal capacity to conduct your own observations with CLASS® Observer Certification Training. This training is designed to support observers in reliably measuring the quality of educator-child interactions.
The Pre-K–3rd CLASS 2nd Edition Observation Training is a 3-day training that is facilitated online by a CLASS specialist. Over the course of the training, participants will engage with their trainer and peers through interactive learning opportunities designed to support understanding of how to effectively observe and score teacher-student interactions. To extend learning, participants will complete embedded, independent online coursework that offers automated feedback. After completion of the 3-day training, participants will have 8 weeks to complete and pass the Pre-K–3rd reliability test to become a certified CLASS observer.

Upon completion of the training participants receive:
- Certification of completion and CEUs
- Access to Pre-K-3rd Observer Certification test:
- Upon completion of the training, participants have 8 weeks to complete the testing process
- Participants are provided study aids and practice videos with justifications
- Each participant is given up to three test attempts to achieve reliability
- Automated individualized feedback is provided after each test attempt
Upon certification, certified observers will receive:
- Access to on-demand CLASS Observation Support courses
- Access to observer resource village

Teachstone prides itself on participant success. Success in our virtual training is dependent on your attendance and active engagement throughout the training. As such, participants are asked to be on-time each day of the training, and engage in whole group and small group discussions and activities.
