Overview & Training Description
Build your organization’s internal capacity to conduct your own observations with CLASS® Observer Certification Training. This training is designed to support observers in reliably measuring the quality of educator-child interactions.
CLASS 2nd Edition Infant–Toddler Observer Certification Training is a three-day, hands-on program for certifying CLASS observers in reliably measuring educator-child interactions. Participants will deepen their understanding of the CLASS tool, learn to formally observe interactions, and become certified to document interaction quality, promoting data-driven program improvement.

Upon completion of the training participants receive:
- Certification of completion and CEUs
- Access to Infant–Toddler Observer Certification test:
- Upon completion of the training, participants have 8 weeks to complete the testing process
- Participants are provided study aids and practice videos with justifications
- Each participant is given up to three test attempts to achieve reliability
- Automated individualized feedback is provided after each test attempt
Upon certification, certified observers will receive:
- Access to on-demand CLASS Observation Support courses
- Access to observer resource village
Fees
When registering, use the same email address associated with your Pre-K and/or K-3 Observer certification or training within your myTeachstone account in order to complete registration.

Teachstone prides itself on participant success. Success in our virtual training is dependent on your attendance and active engagement throughout the training. As such, participants are asked to be on-time each day of the training, and engage in whole group and small group discussions and activities.
